In some poor mountainous areas of China, children face difficult living conditions and limited educational opportunities. Art education, as a subject that can stimulate creativity and enhance comprehensive literacy, is often out of reach for children in impoverished areas due to a lack of resources, insufficient teachers, and inconvenient transportation. However, it is in these mountainous areas that there is a group of children full of potential and creativity, who are eager to express themselves and pursue their dreams through art.
01 Project Background
In order to awaken the artistic talent within children, ICSO launched the “Art to Dream” program to bring positive changes to children in underprivileged schools. As a result, the public welfare light of “Art for Dreams” has been shining in the sky of remote areas. This is not only an art journey, but also a ladder for the children to walk towards the future, helping them to pursue a better tomorrow.
02 Project content
“Art for Dreams” aims to promote the development of humanities and social sciences in impoverished areas, using art classes as an entry point to assist impoverished schools in opening or improving art classes. ICSO assists impoverished schools in setting up art classes, donates the necessary art materials, and provides professional art education support. Our goal is to provide these children with more opportunities to show their creativity and artistic talents. In terms of art education, ICSO organizes a series of art activities and courses aimed at stimulating children’s creativity and helping them to better understand and master art knowledge and skills. In addition, ICSO volunteers actively participate in public service activities by personally instructing children in drawing and other art skills in order to provide them with more help and support.
