01 Project Background
As the world is in turmoil, the number of homeless and poor people in the U.S. is increasing. In July 2019, ICSO International Public Welfare Support Organization (ICSO) joined hands with a U.S. civil society organization to carry out the “Carrying the Light” public welfare project, which provides assistance to the poor people in the U.S. who are unable to receive governmental assistance. Against this backdrop, ICSO urgently needs to take action to alleviate this crisis.
02 Program Content
The program is a joint effort by ICSO to donate basic necessities, clothing, and money to those who do not have access to government assistance. In this program, ICSO-US works with local charities, businesses, and churches to donate necessities, clothing, and donations to needy Americans who, for special reasons, are unable to receive government assistance. This not only meets their basic survival needs, but also brings them a touch of warmth and care, helping them regain their dignity and hope.
In addition, ICSO staff have worked together with local volunteers to carry out a number of relief activities, visiting several needy families and benefiting more than 4,000 people. Not only do the recipients feel the warmth of the society, but also the volunteers deeply understand the challenges faced by the poor and gain more people’s active participation and attention.
As of October 2020, the total fundraising amount of ICSO-US “Carrier of Light” project under ICSO has officially exceeded US$250,000, which is the backdrop of countless generous donations and steadfast support from the charitable people behind this huge figure. The success of this program is not only a testament to the power of good deeds, but also a demonstration of how it can improve people’s lives and support those most in need. We are honored to be able to contribute to this virtuous cycle of good deeds.
03 Vision and Mission
ICSO hopes to provide genuine support to those in need through the “Light Bearers” program, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the basic rights and benefits of life, free from poverty and helplessness, and building a fairer and more inclusive society. We will continue to advocate the noble mission of philanthropy, not only to raise more funds and resources to support the most disadvantaged, but also to encourage the participation of the community to unite their strengths and work together for a better future.
Conclusion
Public welfare can bring a ray of hope to those in unfavorable situations, and bring warmth and support to those struggling in adversity. In the future, ICSO will move forward unswervingly, continue to bring light and hope to those in need, and work together to create a better tomorrow.
