Since its establishment, the International Commonweal Support Organization (ICSO) has upheld its original mission of “promoting the development of global public welfare.” ICSO has successfully built a global platform for Chinese students to participate in charitable activities. After years of development, ICSO has become the world’s largest nonprofit organization dedicated to Chinese overseas students. To date, ICSO has established three major branches in China, the United States, and the United Kingdom. It operates over 150 charity projects in collaboration with partners across 12 countries and 54 regions, engaging more than 5,000 overseas student volunteers and raising over 2 million USD in donations.
01 ICSO·CN
Founded in 2017 and registered in Shenzhen, Guangdong, ICSO·CN is the first local NGO under the ICSO cloud-based management system and also the first established subsidiary. With more than 7,400 volunteers, ICSO·CN has long focused on educational support and poverty alleviation projects in mountainous areas. Guided by its mission — “Rooted in kindness, acting with sincerity, spreading love, and warming hearts; because of our presence, true feelings in the world are preserved” — ICSO·CN has been steadfast in its dedication to public welfare initiatives in China. By February 2020, ICSO·CN had successfully organized more than 30 charitable events across mainland China, benefiting over 10,000 underprivileged students.
02 ICSO·UK
Established in 2018 and registered in Loughborough, UK, ICSO·UK is the second subsidiary under the ICSO cloud-based management system. It is currently chaired by Richard XIE. ICSO·UK is devoted to environmental protection, particularly focusing on marine and wildlife conservation through diverse nature protection projects tailored to the UK context. By April 2020, ICSO·UK had hosted over 50 charitable events in the UK and raised more than 950,000 USD, making significant contributions to marine and wildlife conservation efforts.
03 ICSO·US
ICSO·US was founded in 2019 and is registered in San Francisco, USA. It is the third subsidiary under the ICSO cloud-based management system and is currently chaired by ICSO founder Gates YAO. The division was established with the mission of social relief, aiming to assist individuals in need who are unable to receive government support due to special circumstances. Since its inception, the organization has gathered over 1,500 volunteers, mainly comprising local Chinese and international students. By April 2022, ICSO staff and local volunteers had jointly carried out numerous relief activities and visited many low-income families.

Looking ahead, ICSO will continue to commit itself to advancing the cause of public welfare, providing aid and support to more people in need. Through more efficient charity actions and greater impact, we aim to contribute to the building of a better society.
